Laura Hofman is an immigration attorney with offices in Seattle, Washington and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her practice area is limited to immigration law and focuses on employment and family-based immigration and naturalization law. She has helped hundreds of companies, families, and individuals in the United States and throughout the world navigate the U.S. immigration system. She is a member of both the Washington and Michigan State Bar Associations and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Michigan and Washington Chapters. She has served as immigration faculty at various conferences and seminars throughout the Seattle area and is an Associate Editor of the AILA Immigration Practitioners Toolbox, 3rd Edition. Ms. Hofman received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music, studying voice and viola, and in Urban Studies from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She studied abroad in both Germany and Honduras. Ms. Hofman received her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. While in law school, she served on the Board of Directors of the Free Legal Aid Clinic and interned with the Community Immigration Legal Services program of the Archdiocese of Detroit, both offering legal services to low-income residents of Detroit. She volunteers with several nonprofit immigration legal services organizations and was the co-chair of the AILA Washington Probono Committee.
